A great french-moroccan cafe in the lower east side.

Cafe Gitane has a great attitude and nice atmosphere. You'll have to queue, especially on a weekend. But it's worth it.

The cous cous is incredible as is the avocado toast.

The special trout salad is also a winner.

But I love the simple, and bitter, organic green salad.
