A Taste of Slow
Australia's largest Slow Food Festival will be held again in 2006 from 28 August - 10 September.
Building on the success of its first year in 2005, A Taste of Slow 2006 will encompassing a two-week program of classes, dinners, discussions and tasting opportunities, culminating in the Slow Food Weekend at the Abbotsford Convent on 9 & 10 September.
A Taste of Slow will feature local and international Slow Food experts and chefs and the chance to taste Australia's best produce and meet it's hero producers.
Last year the Food and Wine Festival and the Slow Food Victoria movement teamed up for A Taste of Slow. The festival had some Asian influences but was distinctly Italian in its use of ingredients and preparation of dishes and was a huge success.
