A Little ‘Nip’ of Heaven

After a dreadful picnic experience (see ‘Beware of Rotten Zucchinis: The Tale of a Treasure gone Terrible) myself and friend (I’m sure she will confirm this) experienced heaven on earth.

‘Milky nips’, a gift of chocolates purchased from the Harvest Picnic at Hanging Rock three weeks prior, were entirely responsible. The threatening expiry date; to expire then and there that very day - caused immediate demolition. Luckily the humble package of six chocolates caught my eye on the defining date 15/03/06 marked clear for all to see. What’s more the chocolate was already beginning to create a little mould – going with the theme of the picnic…rotten delicacies.

But this specific item stimulated essential questions;
- What kind of chocolates have such a quick expiry span?
- What type of chocolates collect mould within just three weeks – without opening?
The best it seems!

Rich and soft, coffee scented, chocolate bits within every tiny bite, these chocolates had to be savoured, praised and praised again, and so we did…bite after bite, milky nip after milky nip until all we were left with was the empty packet, a lip sticker, a title ‘Milky Nips’ and a list of ingredients and a phone number all of which I have since lost.

So where and how did these chocolates come into being? Who are the creators of these incredible ‘Milky Nips’?

For any clues about these holy chocolates please contact us here at feelin foodie and feel free to fill us in about every little nip of this milky delight.
