
The Grand Central Oyster Bar will celebrate “National Catfish Month” with catfish specialties on the menu throughout August, it was announced today by General Manager Michael Garvey.
Executive chef Sandy Ingber has concocted a quartet of recipes that will be featured during both lunch and dinner beginning Wednesday, August 1, through Friday, August 31 in a salute to the popular catfish.
“It’s a purr-fect way to pay tribute to the catfish,” mewed Garvey. “Sandy’s dishes will surely have catfish lovers ‘fe-line’ fine throughout August.”
The catfish entrees include: Blackened Louisiana Catfish Filet with Chunky Avocado Salsa and Spanish Race; Cornmeal Crusted and Fried Louisiana Catfish Fingers with Chipotle Aioli and Jalapeno Cornbread; Grilled Louisiana Catfish Filet with Cranberry Chutney and Saffron Rice; and Pan Fried Louisiana Catfish Filet with Spicy Blood Orange Glaze and Basmati Rice.
