Archies

As long as you order pizza or the wedges (and don’t look at the state of the kitchen) you cannot go wrong at Archies. $3.50 for a quarter of a large pizza and a sprinkling of fat wedges is great value. It is open until the wee hours of the morning, offering the compelling possibility of lining an alcohol laced stomach with pizza.

Pizza varieties are varied. There is Pepperoni, Margarita, Vegetarian, Hawaiian, Capriccioso and Supreme, as well as Meat Lovers with extra BBQ sauce, the favoured variety according to this reviewer. The one requirement is fresh pizza. If the trays look aged then wait until a fresh batch of pizzas are ferried in from next door (the Topolino’s kitchen).

Apparently the Bolognese pizza dried up too quickly, so Archies have stopped selling it. But if you can get over this tragedy then indulge. Forget late night kebabs and stuff yourself at Archies.
