Ba Le has a statuette of the Eiffel Tower above its shop sign. Perhaps it was purchased from the Rue du Rivoli, perhaps from Vietnam? It matters not.
Ba Le serves Bubble Tea (at the moment), fresh Vietnamese bread and filled rolls and sells all sorts of Asian groceries. It is a bustling establishment off Hopkins Street, and reminds me a little of the A1 Bakery on Sydney Road. Ba Le serves some of the best rolls in Footscray. Some of the fillings are unrecognisable to the untrained it, but let them serve you anyway, it tastes better that way.
Worth jumping off the bus at the Footscray market for a visit here.
