Lebanese Pizza or man'ouche is one of the culinary highlights of Melbourne's northern suburbs, and there is nowhere better than Preston's Cedar Bakery and Brunswick's A1 bakery.
Usually eaten for breakfast in Lebanon this thin treat is a great way to reintroduce your stomach to food after a heavy night's eating. Cedar Bakery serves its man'ouche with zaatar (thyme), jebne (haloumi cheese) and lahme bi ajin (minced meat) as well as salami and meat and spinach and cheese triangles.
I have had a series of expectional pizzas at Cedar Bakery, and although my preference still slightly rests with A1 Bakery, Cedar Bakery is a worthy contender for the best manouche in Melbourne. Keep trying Cedar Bakery, especially for the other products it offers, including spices, Lebanese products and pre-made foodstuffs.

to whom it may concern,
reading your article on Cedar Bakery, i realized that there was a mistake.
it has not changed hands since it was established.
i think you were referring to A1 bakery, which has changed owners since January 2007.
The best pizzas in Melbourne are at Cedar Bakery.
hope to see you there
