Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery

The special Chinese teas and cheap foods are the two reasons to visit the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery. The other factor may be the fine selection of artwork, “An expression of the Buddhist concepts of virtue, compassion and wisdom”. I must have missed this, desperately attempting to placate my stomach.

The laksa, dumplings and noodles were all reasonable, but the Chinese teas set the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery apart. Enter the dining hall and share a kumquat tea amongst friends. It arrives in a glass tea pot laden with ripe kumquats. The oolong tea is also delicious, but the sweet kumquat tea is the reason to return.
