Gino's is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Gino's is always packed, and full of characters. The walls are covered with great photography and the coffee line is enormous. While Gino's has expanded it has not lost the intimacy that chains cannot create. The staff are friendly and the cafe has that history that is essential to great food. In the mornings there are a mix of old fisherman, yuppies and the middle class who move through the toast, eggs, omelettes or cereals, always with a Gino's coffee of some description.
The lunch menu is expansive without being overwhelming.
The rolls and focaccias are all filling with quality ingredients used, and the pastas are good.
The food is not extraordinary but Gino's is an institution, and institution's are judged on different standards.
