The Grill has a lively atmosphere, and while it borders on fine dining, there is a sense of relaxtion that is not present upstairs. As you eat you can watch the many chefs prepare the night's meal, with an early emphasis on the $30 pre show special that includes two courses, wine and coffee. It is one of the great secrets in Melbourne dining, much more generous than the various lunch deals around. While the special requires guests to be finished before 7pm there is leniency on quiet nights. While taking advantage of these specials is like presenting a discount voucher at the end of the meal, the staff at Grossi Florentino are careful to extend all of their hospitality to all diners (except if they are particularly busy).
The steak dishes are generally exquisite as are any linguini entrees. The changing menu and consistent preparation of delicious food makes Grossi Florentino an essential dining choice.
