
After a great meat at the Atlantic Restaurant there was only one course of action - to make a beeline for Il Gelato for a great gelato to top off a fantastic night.
Il Gelato looks more like a gelato chain than a gelato house dedicated to the fine art of gelato creation. But in this case looks were deceptive.
I tried almost every flavour. The bacio was sensational, the chocolate excellent and the hazelnut rich. But the highlight of the visit was the Il Gelato staff member who announced (at 10 minutes before closing) that lychee was the freshest and best flavour. She wasn't wrong. And that great piece of hospitality made my night.
