Tucked away from hectic Chinatown, Nam Loong (2), is the brighter of the Nam Loongs. It is usually full of students. The fluorescent colour scheme is perhaps some sort of distraction from studying. Often hungry and with depleted funds, Nam Loong (2) is a great place to pass some time if the weather is bad and you have in your possession an addictive book. Solo eating is common. The restaurant is conducive to both a quick meal and a longer stay, and as such I have laboured over Chicken and Roast Pork with Friend Egg on Rice whilst admiring Jim Coetzee. Yukio Mishima was absorbed while scoffing down Braised with Fried Noodles.
Like Nam Loon (1) there are 181 items on the menu, although the pork buns are the speciality at (1) so don’t bother here. The food is good, better than what one should get for this price.
