In the middle of the Flinders Ranges the Prairie Hotel is a great Aussie Pub. More touristic than one might expect, but it has decent food and a comfortable feel. Lonely Planet gets excited over the 'novel' road signs on the way, but the food is worth it. The mixed grill, roo burger and salads are all filling and quality.
Get there early to watch the sunset and then head off camping into the Ranges.
