If you are in the legal precinct of the city, this is the place to go for a very good coffee. Justin is the coffee maker. He's a star, his coffee excellent.
Smxl occupies an awkward corner space, almost an after-thought. The design and lay-out have been carefully considered and work well.
Popular all day, at lunchtime it overflows. Too busy for me, although the food is healthy and substantial. Its menu is available on its website. I prefer smxl in the morning, ideally after 8.30 when the pressure eases slightly. It's a friendly cafe,with great people. The Baker D. Chirico bread is a bonus and the poached fruit and yoghurt unbeatable.
