Tao Noodle Bar

Expect to pay at least 5 pound for pretty rubbish Chinese in cute and buzzing Tao Noodle bar. I did enjoy my satay vegetables and tofu with rice. The rice was however a bit stale and the sauce was anything but satay. At the end of the night when you hand over 7 pound expect to feel a little nauseous, but what can you do when you feel like Chinese and your in Belfast? My dinner companions were disappointed with their extra salty noodles, but my Californian companion hoed down his asparagus and chicken without complaint, thankfully meaning he talked less.

The place was cute looking. We sat on black leather booth couches chewing on stale prawn crackers watching 90s love songs with video clips; all my favourites. The Chinese waitress, with Irish accent, managed to meet our every request and need whilst appearing entirely uninterested and unobservant, very impressed! The open kitchen revealed Chinese chefs - perhaps the lack of authentic ingredients and the constant exposure to Bon Jovi tunes are to blame for the guaranteed 'not quite right' Chinese found at funky Tao Noodle Bar.

Nina:

Love Tao, really great noodles in lovely relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the noodles with spicy chicken and was not disappointed. The service was fast and complimentary prawn crackers were great to munch on while the food arrived. despite the previous review they were not stale. Great meal, fast service and lovely staff. A bargain compared to the prices in other chinese restaurants in the area. A great place, one of my favourites in belfast for noodles

Gavin:

Brilliant place for food but will now only take CASH. No longer accepting cheques and has never accepted plastic cards.

NOT acceptable in 2007!
